- Choose a fixed duration
- Confirm the selected challenge provider is healthy
- Monitor legitimate checkout and the gateway's decline rate
- Preserve evidence and contact the payment processor
Guardrails
Emergency Mode is manual and expires automatically. It does not disable a gateway. If challenge recovery becomes unavailable, Emergency Mode ends automatically and Standard Mode remains active.
