Terms of use

Terms for the Checkout Firewall website, documentation, Free software, and future paid plans.

Acceptance and scope

These Terms apply when you use checkoutfirewall.com, its documentation, or Checkout Firewall software independently published under the Codeprint name without a separate incorporated legal entity. If you do not agree, do not use the site or software. Separate open-source license terms govern the plugin code; Freemius buyer terms also apply to a paid purchase.

Purpose and limits

Checkout Firewall is designed to reduce automated WooCommerce checkout abuse. It does not guarantee prevention of fraud, card testing, chargebacks, fake orders, account action, downtime, or loss. It is not a payment gateway, processor, web application firewall, legal service, PCI compliance product, or substitute for gateway controls and qualified security advice.

Merchant responsibilities

Acceptable use

Do not use the site or software to violate law, another person’s rights, provider terms, or payment-network rules; attack systems you do not own; process stolen payment credentials; bypass licensing; distribute malware; or interfere with the service. Security research must follow the responsible-disclosure policy.

Free and paid plans

The Free edition is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later and is not a timed trial. Paid plans add Premium functionality and differ by production activation count. Freemius acts as merchant of record for paid checkout, tax, subscriptions, billing, licenses, downloads, and Premium updates. Price, renewal, tax, currency, and cancellation details shown at Freemius checkout control the transaction.

Updates, support, and availability

Features, compatibility, and documentation may change through versioned releases. We may suspend access needed to address security, legal, provider, or operational risk. Public documentation and support are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis; a specific response or resolution time is not promised unless separately agreed in writing.

Warranty and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site, documentation, and software are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codeprint is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost revenue, lost data, chargebacks, gateway fees, or business interruption arising from use or inability to use the product. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.

Changes and contact

Material Terms changes will be dated here and apply prospectively. Email jacob@codeprint.io with questions. Codeprint is not a separate incorporated legal entity.
